Personal Use License

Gridfium models, including every file generated by the configurator, are licensed to you, not sold. Free, Pro, and Premium plans include this Personal Use License. Selling prints, printing for paying customers, or including Gridfium in a product you sell requires the Commercial License, which is included with an active Ultimate subscription.

By downloading or using Gridfium models, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use the files.

In short

1. Grant

Parametricum grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide license to use Gridfium models you download from Gridfium under these terms. “You” means the individual account holder. This license does not transfer copyright or any other ownership.

“Gridfium models” means the 3D designs available on this site and any digital files generated from them (including STL, 3MF, and similar formats), as well as previews, documentation, and other related materials.

This license applies only to files you download while signed in to a Gridfium account whose plan includes that model. It does not apply to files you get any other way — from the internet, from someone else, or from any source outside Gridfium.

2. Permitted use

Subject to these terms, you may:

• Configure models in the Gridfium configurator and download the resulting files while signed in to an account whose plan includes those models, for your own private, non-commercial use.
• Produce physical prints of those models, in any quantity, for yourself, your household, or as gifts given without payment or other compensation. Using those prints to organize a space you use — home, workshop, office, or shop — is personal use.
• Send files to a third-party print service solely to produce prints for that personal use, provided the service does not keep, reuse, or redistribute the files.
• Adjust print settings and make private modifications needed to print the model for yourself. Those modifications stay under this license and may not be shared or sold.
• Share photographs or video of your physical prints on social media or websites, provided you credit Gridfium and, where practical, link to gridfium.com.

3. Restrictions

Except as expressly allowed above, you may not:

• Sell, offer for sale, or otherwise commercially distribute physical prints, whether modified or unmodified, including on marketplaces, in a shop, at a market, or to a client.
• Include Gridfium prints in a product, kit, or installation you sell, or use the models as part of a paid design or fabrication service.
• Charge anyone to print a Gridfium model for them, or operate a print farm, print-for-hire, or similar service using these models.
• Share, host, sell, donate, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the digital files, including remixes, derivatives, and converted formats.
• Use, print, modify, or keep Gridfium files you did not download under an account entitled to that model, including files found online or shared by someone else.
• Publish modified models, or use Gridfium geometry as the basis of a competing digital product.
• Remove or obscure Gridfium or Parametricum marks from the models where those marks are part of the design.
• Use the Gridfium or Parametricum names or logos to imply endorsement of a product or service.

Reimbursement for filament or printer time does not make a sale “personal.” If you charge for a print, or include a print in something you sell, you need an active Ultimate subscription and the Commercial License it includes.

4. Access and paid plans

Which models and options you may download depends on your Gridfium plan. This license does not expand those entitlements. It applies only to files you download through your account while that plan allows them.

If you did not download a file from Gridfium under an entitled account, this license does not cover it. You may not use, print, modify, or keep it — even if you found it on the internet or someone else gave it to you.

If your plan lapses, you may keep and print files you already downloaded under this Personal Use License, but you may not download new files that require an active paid plan.

Commercial rights are not part of this license. They come only from the Commercial License included with an active Ultimate subscription, and they end when that subscription is no longer active — including when a subscription expires or is canceled.

5. Ownership

Parametricum and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in Gridfium models, the configurator, and related materials. You own the physical objects you print for yourself, subject to the restrictions in this license.

6. Term

This license continues for as long as you comply with it. It ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the digital files and stop producing new prints from them. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, restrictions, and disclaimers) remain in effect.

7. Disclaimer

Gridfium models and files are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. You are responsible for print settings, material choice, and the safety of anything you make. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parametricum is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the models or this site.

8. Changes

We may update this license from time to time. The version posted on this page applies to downloads made after the update. Files you already downloaded remain under the terms in effect when you downloaded them, unless you agree to a later version.
